Simmer the sauce over low heat for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.<\/li>\n<li>Season the ribs with salt and pepper, and then place them on a baking sheet. Brush the ribs with the bourbon BBQ sauce, reserving some for later.<\/li>\n<li>Cover the baking sheet tightly with aluminum foil and bake the ribs in the preheated oven for about 2 to 2.5 hours, or until the meat is tender and pulls away from the bone.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the foil and brush the ribs with more of the bourbon BBQ sauce. Increase the oven temperature to 425\u00b0F (220\u00b0C) and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce is sticky and caramelized.<\/li>\n<li>Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before serving.
