Our ownership and management team were meticulous in researching the history of the original buildings and surrounding lands during the restoration process. Our objective was simply to restore the property to a special prominence worthy of its past yet accommodating to the present. We hope you enjoy the fruits of our efforts.
Millpond Gatherings is the result of a massive $6 million renovation on an historic site adjacent to the Farm River in Northford, CT. The site, with an over two-century history beginning as a manufacturing facility powered by a water wheel on the nearby dam and then by the largest greeting card factory in the US at the time, has a rich and colorful past.
In 2018, the 14 acre site was purchased by ASD Properties, LLC a company owned by Andrew, Steven and Dennis Bozzuto, brothers who were born and raised in Northford and the owners of several local businesses including Johns Refuge, BRS Carting and 3B Ranch, a fully operational cattle ranch and organic farm with a 4000 square foot outdoor banquet facility that has been accommodating guests for over 10 years.
The vision for Millpond Gatherings is to create one of the most unique and festive hospitality centers in the northeast. When complete, the center will encompass 21,000 square feet and consist of five distinct venues:
Millpond Steakhouse
The Millpond Steakhouse, which opened in February 2022, will feature beef directly from the 3B ranch, seafood from local day fishermen and local produce from farmers around the area.
Millpond Tavern
The Millpond Tavern will encompass the spirit of historic New England taverns where the locals enjoyed fine spirits and fine food while trading the stories of the day.
Millpond Events
Millpond Events, opening in Spring 2022, will be a large wedding and event facility accommodating up to two hundred guests, will provide a festive ambience in an elegant rural setting.
Millpond Market
The Millpond Market, opening in Summer 2022, will be a full retail butcher shop featuring cuts of beef from the nearby 3B ranch and fresh fish from area day fishermen.
Millpond Inn
The Millpond Inn, scheduled to open in 2024, will be an elegant country inn drawing visitors from the entire northeast and beyond.
